The Capti Bike can also be used as an old-school exercise bike and a stationary gaming bike.
Capti, a California-based Expresso Fitness organization, introduced a new exercise bike that makes exercising more interesting with its gaming and virtual rides. Indoor stationary cycling can be very boring at times compared to outdoor ridings with a real bicycle. The Capti Exercise Bike comes with an online library of 50 different maps for virtual rides. The stationary cycling is even more interesting because of the gaming features added to it.
The new Capti Exercise Bike can also be used as a stationary exercise bike with the locked handle bars and pedalling resistance saved in single setting. However, when the users want it to be more fun, the 24-inch screen with Wi-Fi connection provides access to an online library of various maps for outdoor rides, heart-rate training program, pedalling based games and virtual studio sessions. The screen comes with Full HD resolution, 10 point PCAP touch. When in online mode, turning the handles rotates the display in virtual settings and the speed of pedalling reflects in the gaming avatar’s speed. Moreover, the pedalling resistance changes, as the bike faces up and downs in the virtual environment. There is also a gear shift provided in the bike that manually changes the magnetic resistance of the bike to go up and down those hills with required speed.
As stated by the company, Capti exercise bike consists graphics of 3D video game level created with Unreal Engine by Epic Games. The bike weighs 175 lb and can handle up to 350 lb weight of the user. The Capti is available for pre-order at US$ 2,495. It requires a subscription fees of $34 per month. The full selling price of the bike will be $3,495.
