Ford showcased another modified SUV, Ford Expedition Timberline with an off-grid concept at the Overland Expo East.
The 2022 Ford Expedition Timberline with off-grid concept, a sleeper interior, rooftop tent and a pop-up bathroom tent turns the SUV into a camper van. The off-road capability of the new Expedition Timberline takes users to incredible adventures out in the wilderness. This new modified SUV with Off-grid model focuses on multiple day off-road capabilities and user-friendliness. The SUV was showcased at the Overland Expo East in, Virginia, U.S. during October 08 to 10, 2021.
The Timberline comes with F-150 Raptor underbody protection and 10.6 inches (27cm) ground clearance. The 2.5 inch shocks with dual speed compression adjusters lift the modified SUV by 2-inch. To provide a perfect portable campsite, the Expedition Timberline comes with Thule Tepui rooftop tent that secures more than two people. Ford also offers hard-sided protection inside the SUV, it combines two EZ stak drawer units with folded rear seats and a custom Luno camping mattress. To complete the camper design, Ford added a USB fan, window shades, and a Clarios AGM battery. The light system installed over the windshield and under the grill with a 50-inch, 20-inch Rigid light and a D-SS Rigid cube lights added to the hood illuminate the campsite.
The new Timberline comes with a Turtleback Expedition trailer with two-burner stove, sink, drop-down tables, 159L water tank, and a water heater and shower hookup. This turtleneck trailer balances the Off-grid concept of the Expedition Timberline. Ford showcased the new 2022 Expedition Timberline at the Overland Expo East and is now set to put the Off-grid concept for show at this year’s SEMA starting on November 2.
