Losing weight depends on the workout and foods intake, yet the rate at which this happens depends on age.
Many people observe at a certain age when they ate anything even lots of junk foods their body didn’t show many effects like weight gain. And even if they walked a little, the body responded to the exercise, and immediately lost weight. Metabolism is calories burning rate. It is highest in earlier stages, and it shows unavoidably reduced in future.
As humans grow older, many biological changes occur which lead to physiological changes during the puberty phase and post-menopausal. The co-author of this study, Jennifer Rood, is a Ph.D., Associate Executive Director at the Biomedical Research center at Pennington told that the life stages of metabolism do not pace up that during the growing age and later in grower old age. Scientists in this research center also analyzed the daily lives of 6,600 people and the average calories burned by them. This included participants of varied ages ranging from one week to 95 years of age and from almost 29 countries.
There were surprising results after studying and analyzing. People may think that metabolism would be most active in teenagers. But according to Dr. Katzmarzyk’s study notes tells that infants show the highest rate of metabolism. Children during this age need a lot of calories for their bodily developmental stage. This is also one of the reasons for children not getting enough nutrients at this age show stunted growth and signs of malnutrition.
There is not much need for calories in adolescent age. People in their 20s to 50s showed stable metabolism. The need for calories after the 90s reduces drastically. Studies show that aging is the biggest reason for mostly the lifestyle associated with a particular age or body consumption is also a reason.
