Whatsapp to release 3D avatars for its users worldwide that can be used as profile photos or as customized stickers.
Metas famous avatars of the famous metaverse project are creating news among its users. It is being hoped that that the personalized cartoon version of people will create interest among the people. Previously, it was added on Instagram , Facebook and Messenger. A blog posted by the company shared the news.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg shared the news of avatars arrival on Whatsapp though it was earlier reported by Whatsapp beta tracker WABetaInfo early in June. Avatars can be made from billions of combination of hair style, facial features and outfits. The users will also be able to get style enhancements as in lighting, shading and hair style. On Whatsapp, the users will be able to create their own avatars from the settings menu where there will be “use avatar” option at the profile photo settings, allowing the users to create their own virtual lookalike as profile photo.
Two avatars will remain separate which means users will not be able to use Instagram or Meta avatar in Whatsapp, Meta confirmed on TechCrunch. In 2019, Meta had already introduced Bitmoji-style3D avatars on Facebook and Messenger, initially in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Europe.
As it was initiated to TechCrunch, Whatsapp avatar cannot be used on Instagram or Facebook but the Meta Avatars from the Facebook and Instagram can be used on Whatsapp. However, a new Whatsapp avatar needs to be created so that it can be used on Whatsapp.
