Intel Introduced 11th Gen Tiger Lake processors

Intel mentions, 11^th Gen Intel Core Processor is world’s best processor for thin ad light laptops, and, is the best processor Intel has ever built.

The 11^th Gen Intel core processors brings together a new CPU that delivers industry leading performance and frequency up to 4.8 gigahertz. It has a new integrated GPU designed on Intel’s Xe graphics architecture, industry leading AI performance, as well as new Integrated Thunderbolt-4 and the best connectivity integrated with Wi-Fi 6. It also includes deep software optimizations. All of these comes in super sleek, ultra - thin and light designs with Intel’s OEM partners, including Acer, Dell, HP, Lenovo.

Intel has designed this with 3 fundamental methods which includes redefining 10nm process for greater performance with SuperFin technology, optimizing existing high-VT transistors to improve leakage, performance and variation and finally they have redefined the metal stack which is a key part in Tiger Lake. Two additional high performance layers are added at the top to ensure peak frequencies are reached with little voltage roll-off. MIM (Metal-Insulator-Metal) cap capabilities are also enhanced by greater than 4x to ensure rapid and solid power delivery response for high frequency CPU intensity workload. This is the first mobile processor with PCIe (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express) Gen4 integrated, enabling direct SSD (Solid State Drive) attached with up to 32 GB per second. Intel mentions that it delivers up to 2.7x faster content creation, more than 20% faster office productivity, and more than 2x faster gaming plus streaming in real-world workflows.

Tiger Lake also delivers display and engine support for up to four, 4K displays. It also supports multiple memory technologies for those most common today, and those to come in future platforms.
