Google has released a new version of Google TV that improves navigation and adds four new pages with content relevant to families, movies, shows, and Spanish.
Even with all the entertainment options available to consumers through their preferred streaming applications, it may be difficult to find the shows viewers want to watch frequently. Yet, Google TV does appear to have a plan for helping viewers find the content they're looking for.
Google has asserted that it is launching a new version of Google TV today across the globe. The app will receive four new content pages as part of the upgrade, which will also include some conducive navigational changes. By organizing options and gathering content from several apps into one location, these modifications are meant to make it simpler for consumers to find content.
Family, shows, Español, and movies are among the categories available on the new content pages, which can be found on the You tab beneath the apps row.
Everything with a PG or lower classification, from classics to recent releases, will be available on the family page.
Users can now access Spanish-language entertainment from Español page. It will include TV shows, movies, live TV, and a selection of subtitled and dubbed media. Via this website, users may access apps like FlixLatino and Pantaya.
Google, which was formerly a tab, is now on the page of movies. As one might expect, one may search for movies on this website by genre, title, or theme.
Out of the shows tab, Google has produced a shows section/page. Similar to the page of movies, the shows section/page combines thousands of shows from all of one's subscriptions.
The navigational enhancements, Google claims to have moved the search bar and profile switcher. Now in the upper left corner, one can find the profile switcher. The search function will appear on the far right of the app, next to the profile switcher. In addition, a new quick settings button has been created by the corporation next to the search bar.
According to Google, these upgrades will be available on Google TV devices from Philips, Chromecast with Google TV, Sony, and TCL as well as Hisense.
