However, a recent study by Cleveland Clinic experts discovered that these supplements don't actually benefit cardiovascular health. These supplements include red yeast rice, plant sterols, fish oil, garlic, cinnamon, and turmeric.
Dr. Luke Laffin, a preventive cardiologist at Cleveland Clinic, declared that "often utilised supplements for quotation on quote heart health don't work." "Compared to placebo, they do not lower LDL cholesterol or triglycerides. They are also noticeably inferior.
In this clinical experiment, health records of 190 adults between the ages of 40 and 75 who had never experienced cardiovascular disease were examined by researchers.

"Supplements are not intended to substitute drugs or other medical treatments," the Council for Responsible Nutrition, a trade group for the dietary supplement industry, stated in a statement.
